How We Source

A Better Way to Make Condiments

We don’t just make condiments — we rethink how ingredients are sourced. Little Round Spoon partners directly with farmers and grocers to rescue high-quality fruit and vegetables that would otherwise go to waste. By giving these ingredients a new life, we reduce food waste and return value directly to local grower communities.

Supporting Local Farmers

We source directly from small-scale and independent farmers across the Mornington Peninsula and beyond. When crops are oversupplied, imperfect, or struggling to sell, we step in — paying farmers fairly and transforming their fresh produce into premium small-batch condiments. Every jar helps keep revenue in the pockets of the people who grow our food.

Rescuing Surplus Produce

Grocers often end up with perfectly good fruit and vegetables that don’t meet cosmetic standards or simply won’t sell in time. Instead of letting that food go to waste, we collect this surplus produce and transform it into flavour-packed jams, chutneys, sauces, and dressings. It’s good food, saved from landfill, turned into something exceptional.

Turning Good Food Into Great Flavour

Rescued produce is sorted, cleaned, prepped, and cooked in small batches to lock in its natural flavour and character. Everything we make is handcrafted — no shortcuts, no mass production, just thoughtful cooking that brings out the best in every ingredient. The result: bold, honest flavours that elevate real food.

Rescued Doesn’t Mean Lower Quality

All ingredients go through the same quality checks used in professional kitchens. Only fresh, usable, high-quality produce makes it into a jar. Rescued doesn’t mean inferior — it means local, seasonal, and full of potential.

A Smaller Footprint, A Better Food System

By using rescued and surplus produce, we help reduce unnecessary food waste, cut emissions, and champion a circular economy. Smaller batches, smarter sourcing, and stronger relationships with local growers mean every jar supports a more sustainable, resilient food community.

Working With Local Growers

We’re proud to work with local growers who share our commitment to quality and sustainability. From citrus to berries to seasonal vegetables, their produce inspires the small-batch flavours we make.
